Biography A businessman by profession and an artist by vocation, Camuñas has adopted a style that could be defined as intuitive painting. For over thirty years, he has tried his hand at most of the artistic vanguards until gradually finding his own natural style. His approach to painting was originally influenced by the surrealism of Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró, but evolved mainly towards abstraction, while retaining certain figurative reminiscences found in the themes of some of his series. Camuñas draws inspiration from the world around him. Painting is a means of escaping from day-to-day reality, which also provides inspiration and the themes for his works. In this way, he manages to denounce all the things that words cannot express. Camuñas’ collection is made up of over 2000 works, some of which have been exhibited in different art spaces in Girona and Barcelona. He also has contacts with gallery-owners in China and Russia, who have expressed an interest in his work.
